    The Ritchie Family was the name of an American vocal group, based in Philadelphia, who achieved several hits during the s disco era. By the time the lineup of Vera Brown, Jacqui Smith-Lee and Theodosia Draher recorded the Give Me A Break LP which contained the hits "Give Me A Break" and "Never Be Able to Set You Free.".

    May 23,  · At the end of the day, the Ritchie Family are best remembered as little more than a B-movie disco band with a nice line in space-age get ups -- and, as Brazil pre-dates spacesuits, it can't even fall back on that.
