The Dix label featured a wide range of coral groups, guitar-bands and dance-bands. Two land mark albums stand out from the early s, Party Time With “Ceekay” by C.K. Mann and his Carousel “7” (Dix EBL ) and Sikyi Highlife by Dr. Gyasi and his Noble Kings (Dix EBL ).

Andre “Mr Rhythm” Williams, who had been in declining health for the past couple of years, passed away on March 17th, We’ve lost someone who it was a singular joy to call both a hero and a friend. Thanks, Dre. — Andre was an R&B legend, and you may not even know it.

Andre Williams a.k.a. Mr. Rhythm is a musical hustler who started recording for Detroit's Fortune Records in the mid-Fifties and is still going strong. Not only was Mr. Rhythm responsible for some of the most entertaining R&B to be recorded in the Fifties, but he was also a talented songwriter who, in the Sixities, co-wrote Stevie Wonder's first song, the Five Du-Tones' hit song "Shake A Tail.
