William Basinski's gorgeous album reborn on a remastered edition. Rightly considered one of his finest works, 'Melancholia' employs similar techniques used on his now legendary 'The Disintegration Loops' to another stash of short tape loops he created in the early '80s.

Jun 11,  · EDIT: nvmit's like the disintegration loops without the impact or emotion! okay, that's an exaggeration, but the point is it's just not as captivating to me. there were definitely tracks that properly Hit me, like IX, XIII and maybe XII, but overall i wasn't too impressed. i might give it another listen later, tho87%.

Melancholia XIV 14 short melancholy tape-loops from the early eighties. Remastered and now available on conventional pressed CD in Trim-Pak (previously available as a very limited CDR). "Melancholia is probably the best Basinski's record until now, even if this is hard for me to say given my love for each one of his releases.
