Sean South", also known as "Sean South of Garryowen", written by Sean Costelloe, County Limerick to the tune of another republican ballad "Roddy McCorley"and made famous by the Wolfe Tones. The popularity of this song has led to the misconception that South was from Garryowen, a suburb in.

The Irish Ramblers [AKA The other Clancy Brothers] released only two albums in the early 's, this was their first released in and contains very early versions of Sean South from Garryowen and Follow Me Up to Carlow, pre-dating the Wolfe Tones and Planxty versions (respectively) by several years, also a fine cover of the Brendan Behan classic The Patriot symphonic.dojurusadorardananilrajas.infoinfo: Kieran Owens.

No Airplay For The Wolfe Tones I am appalled at the lack of Irish content on Irish radio. I have done many interviews over the recent times and could not believe that, first of all, they had no Wolfe Tones music in their database or at best maybe 1 or 2.
